20190630 – Into Charlottesville

Riding into Charlottesville was nice until I had my first exhaustion stop in the middle of a hill.  It was in a really bad spot too, on the inside of a blind curve on a trafficky road.  Lesson learned to anticipate and look for better places to stop if I need to.  Rode through a disk golf course, then a creek on my way to find my accomodations (thanks Google maps).  People have been charming and kind. Country store operators, bike shop guy, hotel clerk offered me spray alcohol to wash cut on my leg from said Google maps fiasco.  I really like these backcountry store and deli shops.  You can always get a biscuit with some kind of meat in it.

Today I had my first poutine at a super hipster restaurant downtown next to the bike shop.
