Why am I doing this, and why should you care? The blog is mostly just to document my journey and inform my family and friends where I am in this bicycle trip across the country. I’m not doing this trip for charity, or for anything grander than my own selfish desire to have an adventure.
I’ll be mostly following the TransAmerica Trail by adventure cycling network. I have set myself a goal of averaging 50 miles per day for the total trip. Meaning if I don’t make my daily miles, or I take a rest day, I’ll have more miles to make up. I’ll make a spreadsheet, and it’ll make sense, I promise. The trip according to adventure cycling is 4220 miles, and at 50 miles per day, that gives me less than 85 days to complete the journey. Sounds good to me, but we shall see I guess.
The website looks a little junky, but I don’t care so much at this point. I have turned off comments mostly because I don’t want to moderate any public discussions or anything like that. If you have something to comment, you know how to reach me.
If there is anybody who doesn’t know me, who for some reason or another wants to reach out to me, I will put in a contact page.
